We stock both men’s and women’s socks in all sizes. Our bamboo socks are ethically sourced.
Socks made with bamboo are supersoft, comfortable and durable. Bamboo forms a breathable fabric that keeps feet fresh and dry. It’s naturally anti-bacterial and hypo allergenic. Bamboo is 40% more moisture absorbent than cotton in this form.
Why Bamboo and not cotton?
- Bamboo grows without the need for fertilisers or pesticides.
- Naturally requires less water (a third of the water required to grow cotton), farmers don’t need to irrigate their crop, saving water in a country where water shortages are a big problem.
- Bamboo yields are ten times higher per hectare than cotton and the plant rarely needs replanting, sprouting on its own.
- Bamboo yarns require less dye than cotton and keep their colour for longer.
Our range of bamboo socks are sourced responsibly from trusted suppliers. Our suppliers are members of the World Fair trade Organisation (WFTO). They pay their workers well above the minimum wage and purchasing their socks helps maintain their local community and support families.
